DRUGS CHARGELighting man in courtA MEMBER of Sneaky Sound System's production crew has pleaded not guilty in the Launceston Magistrates Court to a drug trafficking charge.James Centofanti, 35, of NSW, was arrested at Launceston Airport on Friday night. The lighting contractor was in town after being hired by the ARIA award-winning band before their performance at Saturday's MS Fest. A spokeswoman for Sneaky Sound System said Centofanti was not travelling with the band, which flew into Launceston on Saturday.Magistrate Robert Pearce granted bail to Centofanti, unopposed by police prosecutor Brad Steele. Centofanti will appear in the Launceston Supreme Court on March 15.CAPSICUM SPRAYCourts evacuatedAT LEAST 50 people were evacuated from the Children's Court in Melbourne yesterday after security officers used capsicum spray to stop a fight between two men.A police spokeswoman said protective services officers used the spray when a fight began outside a courtroom on the first floor of the building in Little Lonsdale Street. Everyone in the building, including those in its nine courtrooms, was evacuated about 11am. A court spokeswoman said the spray was spread through the complex by the air-conditioning system. No one was injured.A Shepparton man, 19, and a Craigieburn man, 43, are expected to be charged on summons with affray and offensive behaviour.FILMAnd another Thing . . .AUSTRALIAN actor Joel Edgerton has been cast in the Hollywood remake of The Thing, about a shape-shifting alien who terrorises a group of people in Antarctica.Edgerton will star alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Death Proof) in the film by director Matthijs Van Heijningen, the Hollywood Reporter writes.The best-known version of the film was the 1982 production directed by John Carpenter and starring Kurt Russell, which was a remake of the 1951 movie The Thing From Another World.Filming is due to begin on The Thing on March 15 in Toronto. Edgerton will next be seen in the Australian film Animal Kingdom, which just won an award at the Sundance Film Festival.
