Princess Theatre, Launceston

The Princess Theatre was built in 1911 with an incredible in-built proscenium arch. In 2016, the City of Launceston refurbished the interior with new flooring and plush seating, with 947 seats on two levels (stalls and dress circle). The Princess has stages a wide range of small and large-scale performances including a developing a new season each year to delight the audiences of greater Launceston.

The venue and Box Office is located at 57 Brisbane St, Launceston and tickets for all performances can be found via the website or by calling the Box Office directly.

Theatre North Inc, trading as 'Theatre North at the Princess' is an independent, non-profit organisation, established in 1995, and funded by the State Government and the City of Launceston.
