Launceston and North East Railway Railbug Rides

  • Attraction
  • Sports and Recreation Facilities

Ride the Northeast railway for 3 kilometres on a pedal powered railbug from the old Turners Marsh station towards Karoola turning around at Waddles Rd.

The ride out is almost all downhill and, if you like, you can be pushed back up with an escort vehicle which is actually a converted ride-on lawn mower with an electric motor powered by EV batteries that we charge from solar.

Some riders have posted videos that they took. You can see them on their Facebook page, Launceston & North East Railway.

Additional information is available on their website.
