Be among the first to ride, watch and celebrate as the iconic Silverdome velodrome reopens after recent refurbishments.
Ever wondered what it's like to ride on an indoor timber velodrome? Back on Track at the Silverdome is your chance to experience it for yourself, whether you're an experienced cyclist, a curious first-timer or simply keen to see the venue's transformation.
On 17 October 2026, the Silverdome will open its doors and welcome cyclists, families and the wider community back to the track for a day of cycling, entertainment and celebration.
The free community event will feature:
'Come and Try' cycling sessions
Track racing featuring clubs from across Tasmania
Guided venue tours
Community displays and stalls
Family-friendly activities and entertainment
Whether you want to take to the track, cheer from the sidelines or explore the redeveloped venue, there's something for everyone.
Come and be part of history as cycling returns to the Silverdome.
Register to participate in cycling events through the Launceston City Cycling Club.
