Perched on a hill overlooking the 44-hectare working farm, the self-contained cottage enjoys sweeping views across pasture, bushland and a neighbouring vineyard. Styled with the character of a traditional Tasmanian cottage, it combines old-world country charm with modern comforts. The cottage operates off-grid, powered by on-site solar and battery storage and supplied by rainwater tanks.
Guests can wake to fresh country air and a generous breakfast featuring Fork it Farm's own bacon and eggs alongside other local provisions. They can wander the gardens, pick fresh herbs, settle beside the fire, or simply find a sunny spot and enjoy having nowhere they need to be.
Located in the Pipers Brook Wine Region, Ironstone is an ideal base for discovering nearby cellar doors, local producers and Tasmania's north-east.
Guests can also pre-book a Behind the Scenes Farm Tour to learn more about the working farm, including its pasture-based livestock system, rotational grazing, revegetation and Fork it Farm's paddock-to-plate approach.
