Launceston’s inaugural Little Food Festival brought Civic Square to life on 14 and 15 October, with families coming together for two days of food, fun and hands-on learning.

The festival offered young people and their families the chance to explore food in a fun and engaging way, with activities and experiences designed to spark curiosity, encourage learning and celebrate Launceston’s connection with food.

More than 20 partners came together to help deliver the festival, showcasing the strength of collaboration across our community and supporting Launceston’s broader work as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy.

Across the two days, Civic Square was filled with activity as families explored, learned, tasted and discovered together.

The inaugural festival was the result of a huge collaborative effort involving community partners and staff from across the City of Launceston, from planning and promotion through to activities and support on the ground.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the first Little Food Festival such a memorable celebration. We loved seeing so many families enjoying the heart of the city and getting involved.
